A short history of CVBF

EVENTS

On Monday, 19 February 2024, at the EUCROF24 conference in Prague our Head of Development Area, Arianna Bertolani, takes the stage to present an abstract authored by three experts from CVBF: Giovanni Migliaccio, Irisi Sukaj and Arianna Bertolani. This abstract provides a concise yet comprehensive view of the challenges and opportunities in the submission process for Advanced Therapy Medicinal Products (ATMPs) to the Clinical Trial Information System (CTIS) in the European Union and European Economic Area (EU/EEA).

Mariagrazia Felisi, our Clinical Projects Director & Auditor, delivered an engaging lecture titled “Exploring Contract Research Organizations” at the clinical research workshop organized by the University of Florence’s Placement Office on 6 February 2024.

SERVICES

Based on the E6 ICH GCP guidelines, this training provides practical insights on implementing GCP principles. In just a few modules, you’ll better understand your responsibilities when conducting clinical trials. Upon completing the training and passing a short quiz, you’ll receive a certificate demonstrating your up-to-date GCP knowledge.

PARTNERSHIPS

The EJP RD Final Conference “Consolidating the Rare Disease Research Ecosystem” is scheduled to take place from May 27th to May 28th, 2024 in Bari, Italy, this conference is set to bring together leading experts, professionals, and enthusiasts from around the world.

We are thrilled to announce that the 2024 iCAN Advocacy and Research Summit will take place from July 15-19 in Bari, Italy. As a member of the iCAN Advisory Board, our CEO will participate in this highly anticipated event. We are excited to attend alongside incredible kids from all over the world.

REPRESENTATION

Donato Bonifazi, our CEO, has been elected as a board member at AICRO (Italian Association of Clinical Research Organizations). Donato Bonifazi is no stranger to AICRO, having previously served as the President from 2018 to 2020. His re-election, now in a new role on the board, underscores his commitment to fostering collaboration among Clinical Research Organizations (CROs) and stakeholders both in Italy and across Europe.

On January 24th, a milestone was reached for clinical research in Albania. Three leading CROs came together to sign the statute establishing the Albanian CRO Association (ACROA). The founding partners aim to collaborate on raising quality standards, providing training, and presenting a unified voice as Albania’s clinical trial industry continues developing.

On 20 December 2023, Donato Bonifazi, our CEO and a Board member of the TEDDY Network, has been selected as a permanent member of the Advisory Group of the ACT EU Multistakeholder Platform (MSP AG), as a representative of the TEDDY Network, the European Network of Excellence for Paediatric Research. The platform is a result of Accelerating Clinical Trials in the EU (ACT EU), an initiative launched in January 2022 by the European Commission, the European Medicines Agency (EMA) and Heads of Medicines Agencies (HMA).
