2023 iCAN Summit 

We are excited to announce that our CEO, as a member of the iCAN Advisory Board, will be participating in the upcoming 2023 iCAN Summit in La Jolla, San Diego, California. This highly anticipated event, presented by Jumo Health, will take place from July 10 to July 14, 2023. We are especially excited to be attending the summit alongside six incredible kids from KIDS BARI and KIDS ALBANIA.

EUCROF24 CONFERENCE

EUCROF24 is a highly anticipated event that will gather stakeholders from the pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device, and Clinical Research Organizations (CROs) sectors, as well as regulators, patients, and academia to shape the future of Clinical Research in Europe.

 

AFI Symposium

The 62nd AFI Symposium, titled “The healthcare supply chain: a growth driver for the country” was held in Rimini (Italy) from June 7th to June 9th, 2023. This strategic sector is crucial for the Italian economy, generating value, employment, and ensuring the health of the population. The symposium addressed the challenges and opportunities faced by the healthcare value chain, emphasizing the importance of research and development, collaboration between companies and institutions, and the adoption of innovative technologies.

Clinical Research
on Medical Devices. How to maximize the benefit for the patients?

Arianna Bertolani, our Head of Project Development, attended as a speaker, the conference “La ricerca clinica profit e no profit su farmaci e device: Come massimizzare il beneficio per i pazienti?” that was held on April 21st at the Aula Magna of the Monzino Cardiology Center IRCCS.

 

Lecture on Pharmacovigilance in Paediatric Clinical Trials at University of Pavia

Mariagrazia Felisi, our Quality Assurance  Head, recently delivered an insightful lecture on “Pharmacovigilance in Paediatric Clinical Trials: Regulatory Foundations, Paediatric Considerations and EudraVigilance” to students following the Master in Regulatory Disciplines “G. Benzi” program at the University of Pavia, which took place on 19 May 2023.

On 29 April 2023, Giorgio Reggiardo, our experienced research methodologist, and biostatistician, held a presentation to the students of the second level master’s degree course in clinical research, at the Università Campus Bio-Medico di Roma.

PUBLICATIONS

Cox regression and survival analysis from the tauro-urso-deoxycholic trial in amyotrophic lateral sclerosis 

CVBF collaborated with IRCSS Istituto Clinico Humanitas and Bruschettini Srl on an article published on the Frontiers in Neurology Journal, entitled “Cox regression and survival analysis from the tauro-urso-deoxycholic trial in amyotrophic lateral sclerosis.”

Standardizing Paediatric Clinical Data: The Development of the conect4children (c4c) Cross Cutting Paediatric Data Dictionary

Paediatric clinical trials face several challenges, such as developing age-specific formulations and dosages, complying with regulatory requirements, ethical considerations, and the need to standardise paediatric data.
Trial sponsors develop unshared data dictionaries, making interoperability difficult and reducing the efficiency of trial’s execution.
