The World Duchenne Organization, together with the Duchenne Data Foundation, has started the Duchenne Emergency & Capacity Building Program. The aim of this project is to support local communities through strategic global capacity building.
The first action-aim given by this new and helpful project was to deliver medical equipment to Lebanon after the Beirut city port explosion.
Besides the great charitable gesture, this initiative brings with it the will to help those in difficulty in areas of the world severely affected by calamities not only health but also of other nature. Reporting the words of Aida Adra, founder of the Lebanese DMD patient organisation Land for Hope: “It was so smooth to handle the donation, and we were so excited to see what we have for our kids, like Christmas gifts”.
