Namur, Belgium – CVBF participated in the kick-off meeting of the ERAMET project on March 4-5 in Namur that was organized by the University of Namur, also the coordinator of the European Project, entitled “Ecosystem for RApid adoption of modelling and simulation METhods to address regulatory needs in the development of orphan and paediatric medicines” (ERAMET).

CVBF introduced its mission, expertise in CRO services, and presented a case study “Challenges and Opportunities with Connecting Questions, Data, and Methods” prepared by Donato Bonifazi, Claudia Pansieri and Giorgio Reggiardo, with Claudia Pansieri delivering the presentation.

Dr. Pansieri highlighted CVBF’s role in several European projects, including c4c, EJPRD, and EPTRI, where CVBF serves as the coordinator. CVBF’s contribution in the ERAMET project is important as we will provide the expertise to enable the adoption of Modelling & Simulation (M&S) techniques gained with the EU funded project DEEP (DEferiprone Evaluation in Paediatrics), FP7 GA n.261483, which aimed to study the efficacy and safety of deferiprone in children affected by β-thalassemia and other transfusion dependent haemoglobinopathies.

CVBF will lend its expertise across multiple work packages (WP1-WP7), including European Project Management, Regulatory Science, Data Management & Standardization and Biostatistics. The active participation in this European Project solidifies our position at the vanguard of international collaborations on addressing regulatory needs in the development of orphan and paediatric medicines.
