On 28 January, 2020, the event “IlluminAutismo, SPASD project and inclusive education” took place at the Liceo “Enrico Fermi” of Bari. The meeting involved different professionals involved in the school an teaching framework such as teachers, educators, university representatives but also doctors. But the young students were the main actors of the event.

The meeting in fact provided the occasion to increase awareness on the theme of autism and the importance of inclusive education, and sensitize the young students about the significance of the integration in the classroom. The students had the possibility to share their feeling and suggestions about the inclusive classroom and the social inclusion related to the autism.

CVBF, represented by Doriana Filannino, participated in the event, presenting the achievements and the outputs of the SPASD project.

In the framework of the international project SPASD, funded within the European Programme Erasmus+ and arose from the willing to offer equal opportunities to children with ASD, a e-learning course has been developed and distributed in the four countries involved in the project (Romania, Italy, Poland, Netherlands). The e-learning course aims to increase competences and skills of teachers which do not only concern providing high quality and inclusive classroom teaching but also providing support in the transfer of capabilities from school to community life for students with ASD and in building a partnership with parents in educating the child.
