Working Group (WG) on “Clinical Pharmacology in Paediatrics” at the Italian Society of Paediatrics (SIP)
The WG on “Clinical
Pharmacology in Paediatrics” was established to
meet the needs of the modern clinical applied pharmacology
in paediatrics, in which deep lacks in education, legislation
and regulatory activity have been found. The WG has
promoted the drawing up of a guideline on the conduction
of clinical trials in paediatrics in cooperation with
the Agency for Health Regional Services

Italian Group for Pharmacoeconomic Studies (GISF)
Set up in 1998. GISF is involved in the pharmacoeconomic discipline development, mainly minding of methodological aspects. The GISF activities have been oriented to improve the economic evaluations in the pharmaceutical field in cooperation with Scientific Societies. Particularly, it collaborates with the SIF (Italian Society of Pharmacology) and with the SIFEIT.

Task Force
Orphan Drugs/Rare diseases
Set up in 1998, the
Task Force constitutes an ‘action group’ that encompasses
Scientific Researchers, Industries, Patient’s Organisations,
interested in improving knowledge and promoting actions
for the development of new drugs for orphan diseases.
The Task Force cooperates with the European Union and
the Italian Istituto Superiore di Sanità in the definition
of methodologies for performing clinical trials in small
populations.
